No device: nothing to connect

In these countries BlinkFix’s research found no fiscal device and no per-sale reporting for sales like yours. In China and in the United Arab Emirates an invoice is due in some cases. There is nothing to connect, and the app says so. Your work is to keep the details on your receipts right and to issue an invoice when one is asked for.

First of all

  • You are the seller, so the fiscal receipt is yours to issue. The receipt BlinkFix gives your customer confirms the payment BlinkFix took in your name; it is not a fiscal receipt.
  • Only the owner can set up, change or remove the fiscal connection.
  • BlinkFix switches fiscal connections on country by country. Until the app shows your connection as Connected, issue every fiscal receipt yourself, on your own till or system.

What you need

  • Your legal name, address and tax number (VAT, GST or sales-tax number) in BlinkFix.
  • Your tax rates in VAT and receipts, so each receipt shows the right tax.
  • An invoicing system of your own, for a full VAT or tax invoice when a business customer asks for one.
  • For a country marked “Not yet confirmed”: a local adviser’s word on what your place needs.

Step by step

  1. Open Work › More › Place settings › VAT and receipts › Fiscal connection. The “Status” card reads “Nothing to connect” or “Not required”. If the “Connection” card offers a way for your country, your country is not here: open your country’s page.
  2. Open VAT and receipts, the “VAT” tab. In the card “Seller on your receipts”, check your place’s name and set your “Tax status”, then type your tax number as your tax office writes it. If the place is not registered for the tax, choose “Not registered”.
  3. In the same tab, check your tax rates.
  4. When a business customer asks for an invoice, issue it from your own invoicing system. BlinkFix’s receipt is a confirmation of the payment BlinkFix took in your name; it is not your invoice. VAT and receipts › Receipts to issue marks such an order “Business invoice”.
  5. Keep your records as your tax office asks.

How you know it works

  • The “Status” card reads “Nothing to connect” or “Not required”.
  • The seller on your receipts is your legal name and tax number.

The maker’s and the provider’s own manuals

There is no maker or provider here. The tax office’s own pages are listed in your country’s box under “Official pages”.

Only the pages of the maker, the provider or the authority themselves are linked, as they were on 29 October 2026.

If something goes wrong

The app offers me a connection although my country is here

Then BlinkFix’s table lists a way for your country, so another guide applies: open your country’s box, which links the right guide.

My country is marked “Not yet confirmed”

BlinkFix’s research could not confirm the rule for that country. Nothing is required of your place in BlinkFix for now, but that is not a finding that the law asks nothing. Ask a local adviser before you rely on it.

A receipt shows a wrong tax number or name

Correct it in VAT and receipts, the “VAT” tab, or in Place details. Receipts made earlier keep what they showed.

A customer wants a full invoice

Issue it yourself, from your invoicing system. The tip and BlinkFix’s service fee are never on your invoice: the fee is on BlinkFix’s own invoice to the customer.

China: a customer asks for a fapiao

The customer asks from the order, with “Request fapiao”. You issue the fapiao on the tax bureau’s platform. Where your “Fiscal receipts” tab shows a “Fapiao requests” card, press “Enter fapiao number” and “Save fapiao” there, or “Decline request” with a reason the customer reads. If an order is refunded, reverse its fapiao with a red digital fapiao.

United Arab Emirates: a business customer asks for a tax invoice

A sale to a consumer needs no device. For a business that pays with its UAE tax registration number, the invoice becomes an e-invoice through an accredited provider once the mandate applies to you: see the guide “Cloud provider”.
